The course aims to teach students the fundamentals of antenna theory. Various types of antennas, including linear antennas, loop antennas, and array antennas, are analyzed to demonstrate the application of theoretical concepts to specific antenna designs.

Course Content:

Radiation Mechanism, Fundamental Parameters of Antennas (Radiation Intensity, Directivity, Gain, etc.).

3 Fundamental Parameters of Antennas, Half Power Beamwidth, Polarization, Input Impedance, Friis Transmission Equation.

4 Assignment II

5 Far-field Radiation, Linear Wire Antennas, Dipole Antenna.

6 Assignment III

7 Loop Antennas.

8 Assignment IV.

9 Array Antennas: N- Element Linear Array.

10 Assignment V.

11 Horn Antennas.

12 Assignment VI.

13 Microstrip Antennas.

14 Assignment VII.

Grade Policy: 40% Assignments + 60% Final Exam.
